On my previous project, the Arduino Wifi Temp Logger, I was curious about current consumption if wanted to use batteries for the project.
Using an Arduino Uno and the Ethernet Shield I was able to dump current readings to a web server for logging and later analysis.
Using the INA219 current sensor from adafruit, actual current consumtion measured is on average 60.4 mA. This is with absolutely no power optimizations to decrease the current consumption for the arduino or wifi module.
